FROM THE MANAGING DIRECTOR
This year has gone by so fast, it's hard to believe it's already 2012. I am proud of how much we’ve accomplished in a relatively short period of time.
Accomplishments
This year we have added a great deal of added functionality to the Dmitri SuiteSM. Over the last year there have been six releases with exciting new features in each one. You’ll read in this issue about additions in the latest release, such as the ability to map locations with drill down capability, new search options and capabilities to set dates and currencies for international and local locations.
2011 saw Risk Sciences Group expand internationally. We are currently working with with our international clients and our Crawford partners to enhance our global offering.
SOC2
We have recently undertaken a major effort to move from the SAS70 audit to the Service Organization Controls (SOC) audit for both security and processing integrity. The purpose of these reports is to convey trust and assurance to users of the system that we have the effective security and process integrity controls to effectively protect the data entrusted to us.
Meeting the criteria to produce a SOC report from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants is demanding. It requires we show evidence of all the stringent protocols and best practices necessary for the SAS70 as well as a much wider spectrum of controls. The process has required a sizeable investment of time and effort. Our clients will benefit from the examination of all our policies, best practices and controls necessary for this new certification. The process has allowed us to improve our already high standards for security and service.
The Future
Of course, our focus isn’t on this past year but the future. We have several key initiatives for 2012. New Dmitri versions are planned with the next one in March.
One of our main objectives is to bolster our client’s analytics capabilities helping them to anticipate future issues. Through sourcing data, building models and creating unique data presentations, our staff can provide a more consultative approach to your account. Our mission is to focus our clients’ efforts to drive their spending intelligently so they can optimize outcomes.
We will also continue to advance the Dmitri Suite for our users. Many of our clients have already been trained in Element 79®. We have a full training guide and we look forward to migrating more of our clients to Dmitri this upcoming year. As we continue to advance functionality, we look forward to sharing each milestone directly with you and through this newsletter.
Partners Conference
As a part of our training efforts, we are planning our 21st RSG Partners Conference. As you’ll read about in the article on the Partners Conference, there will be a plethora of classes, panel discussions, guest lectures and a "product pavilion" where you can receive one-on-one mentoring on issues that are important to you.
I look forward to a great end of 2011 and a very productive 2012 with all our clients. If you have any further questions please feel free to reach out to your account manager or the Risk Sciences Group management team.
Sincerely,
Brenda Rarick
